SocINDEX with Full Text Database Info
This database provides the most comprehensive collection of sociology research. SocINDEX features nearly 2 million records with subject headings from a 19,300+ term sociological thesaurus. The database classifies journals based on a tiered system that helps users to evaluate the most important journals in their field of study. Abstracts from over 845 "core" coverage journals are available, dating back to 1895. There are also over 670 "priority" coverage journals and 2,800 "selective" coverage journals. The database also provides indexing for books/monographs, conference papers, and other non-periodical sources. The database provides more information about the most prolific, most cited, and most frequently searched for authors in sociology research with over 10,000 frequently updated Author Profiles.
Full text is available for 428 "core" coverage journals dating from 1908 to the present and 163 "priority" coverage journals. Full text is also available for more than 735 books/monographs and for 6,785 conference papers.
