Ferguson's Career Guidance Center Information
Ferguson's Career Guidance Center is a database devoted to career resources. All content comes from Facts on File, a respected publisher of reference materials since 1941. The main page presents three categories: "Jobs," where you can get detailed information on over 3,300 jobs in 94 industries, "Skills," where you can find resources on writing resumes and interviewing, and Resources, and "Resources," where you can browse thousands of scholarships, schools, internships, and other opportunities.
There is also a selection of videos to browse, including short videos on career skills and specific jobs and industries. If you choose, you can create an account in the database, which allows you to save items in a personal folder. This folder is archived and made available to you during future sessions. You can also save items in a folder without creating a login, but the folder is emptied automatically when you close your browser window.
