I am an Associate Professor and Collection Development Librarian at Gonzaga. I received my undergraduate degree in History from the Washington State University and my Master's in Librarianship from the University of Washington.  I have been a faculty member at Gonzaga since 1989. My collection development responsibilities include the Schools of Engineering and Business as well as Philosophy, Chemistry, and Modern Languages.

My professional interests include information ethics and information neutrality issues.  Dr. Mark Alfino of the Gonzaga Philosophy Department and myself co-authored the book Information Ethics for Librarians published by McFarland Press.  I have been actively involved in the American Library Association for many years and have served as Coordinator of the Social Responsibilities Roundtable, member of ALA Council and the Committee on Professional Ethics.

I am an ovarian cancer survivor and my husband is a colon cancer survivor and I am involved in raising awareness about both of those diseases.  I volunteer with Hospice of Spokane and enjoy the time I spend with my clients.  I enjoy all types of books and am particularly fond of Georgette Heyer, the queen of regency romance novels. I love listening to Pandora.com and finding new music in all different genres.  At least a couple of times a week you can find me in the pool doing water aerobics, a great way to exercise!
