The faculty in the Department of Civil Engineering is committed to develop competent, knowledgeable and ethical engineering graduates through the curriculum requirements which include the integration of liberal humanistic learning. The civil engineering faculty believe that our students, while they are developing general knowledge skills during their years at Gonzaga, should also attain more specific competence in at least one discipline or profession. They hope that the integration of liberal humanistic learning and skills with a specialized competence will enable our graduates to enter creatively, intelligently and with deep moral conviction into a variety of endeavors, and provide leadership in the arts, the profession, business, and public service.
