The goal of our project is to provide design recommendations for the construction of the Karagwe University College of Agriculture in Karagwe, Tanzania at the request of MSAADA Architects. These recommendations are to be compiled in a Design Study Report (DSR), which can be used by the architect and owner to make informed decisions in the construction of engineered systems on the campus. Our team was asked to research and compare design alternatives for site design, water supply, drainage control, wastewater management, and structural design of the campus water tower based on cost, constructability, appropriateness of technologies and overall compatibility with the project goals. The DSR is to include comparative analysis, preliminary designs, cost projections, and recommendations for use in future building phases of the project.
