In the world of MIMO antennas, little is known about goodput rates and how they correspond to the orientation of an antenna. Our team was tasked with designing an automated test system to measure the goodput of wireless antennas using a previously designed antenna positioning and frequency analyzing system.
GU and LHC2 previously used this test unit to take data from a network analyzer and translate the acquired information into three-dimensional graphs for analysis. We converted this existing system to capture good- put measurements and adapted the graphing capability to portray the goodput rates as a function of the antenna orientation.
