Fall Semester 2026

Fall Move-In

• New Students: August 28, 2026
• Returning Students: August 30, 2026

Thanksgiving Break

Residence halls will remain open during Thanksgiving Break from Wednesday, November 25 through Sunday, November 29, 2026.

Christmas Break Closing

All residents must vacate their room by Saturday, December 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

If travel plans are impacted by flight delays, weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances, students should contact their Residence Director (RD) or Graduate Residence Director (GRD) to discuss a reasonable extension.

After 10:00 a.m. on December 19, access to residence halls will be restricted until the residence halls reopen for the spring semester on Sunday, January 10, 2027. Students should take everything they will need during the break, as they will not be able to access their rooms during this time.

Spring Semester 2027

Opening After Christmas Break

New Residents Check-In

• January 10, 2027
• Keys may be picked up in Crosby 201 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Returning Residents

• Residence halls reopen on January 10, 2027

Spring Break

Spring Break will take place March 8-12, 2027.

Residence halls will remain open for all students during Spring Break.

Spring Semester Check-Out

Residence halls close Saturday, May 8, 2027, at 10:00 a.m.

Residents must vacate their room within 24 hours of their last final exam or by Saturday, May 8, 2027, at 10:00 a.m., whichever comes first.

Students requesting an extension beyond their required checkout time must submit a Late Departure Request through ZagLiving.

Important: Catherine Monica Hall and Madonna Hall will close for summer construction beginning May 8, 2027, at 10:00 a.m. Students assigned to either building who are approved for a late departure request will not be able to remain in their current room after that time. Temporary accommodations in another campus residence hall will be provided for approved late departure students.
