FAQ's About CPD Events

What exactly is a career trek? How do students attend your events? Get the answers to these questions and more below.
All of CPD's events a listed on our career services portal, ZagsIgnite. Students can browse currently scheduled events, including browsing employer registrations to events like career fairs and treks. Additionally, ZagsIgnite is where students can book one-on-one appointments with career advisors, apply for jobs and internships, and access additional resources. Encourage your student to log in and get familiar with this excellent resource!

Treks are career development and networking programs that create opportunities for students to connect with alumni and employers in key metropolitan areas across the country. As part of the Treks, students interact with partner organizations during corporate excursions, career fairs, and networking socials.

Most CPD events are free for students to attend. Trek events do charge a fee for participation to help offset the costs of transportation and meals during the events. For these events, financial assistance is available to students with demonstrated need.

CPD events have a few opportunities for parents and family members to participate as representatives of their company during annual Trek events. You can attend the networking socials in your city, or host an excursion. Additionally, if you want to mentor Gonzaga students, you can sign up at our online networking site, ZagsConnect. To find out more on how you can be a professional resource to students, reach out to Erin Shields at shieldse@gonzaga.edu.
