In healthcare, individuals are often tapped for supervisory roles based on their technical skills, but rarely given adequate time and training to develop leadership skills. To close this gap, Gonzaga University is offering a leadership course specifically designed for the unique and nuanced nature of the healthcare environment: Certificate in Healthcare Leadership.

This hybrid, cohort-based program empowers you to effectively lead individuals, teams, and organizations. Through a combination of in-person and virtual learning, you’ll gain practical knowledge and skills in the following areas:

Details

  • Pilot cost: $3,900 per person
  • Timeframe: Late January 2023 – early June 2023 
  • Duration: Five months / 20 weeks
  • Format:
    • One full-day, in-person class each month on a Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (five sessions total)
    • One 2-hour Zoom class once a month (six total) on a Monday, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Time commitment: Average 3-4 hours per month of reading and work outside of class sessions.
  • CE Credits: 7 (seven) representing 70 hours of class time and independent learning. CE Credits will appear on a Gonzaga University transcript. In-person classes to be held at Gonzaga University and UW School of Medicine.
