Foley Library accepts book donations only under the following conditions:
- The donation is a textbook from a recent GU course, and the course is likely to be taught again in the next year.
OR - The donation has been previously approved by a liaison librarian.
Any other donations will not be accepted
If you would like to inquire about making a donation, please email Laura Hutton, hutton@gonzaga.edu with an itemized list of the items you would like to donate.
We partner with Global Neighborhood Thrift, which accepts donations of any books in good condition. You can bring donations to Global Neighborhood Thrift at their store location at 919 E. Trent, or visit gnthrift.com/donate to view a map of available donation drop boxes.
All book donations must be approved in advance by a subject selector via an itemized list. Librarian approved book donations are accepted with the understanding that the library may add them to the collection at its discretion or dispose of them if they do not meet the standards for selection. The library reserves the right to determine the retention, location, cataloging treatment, and other considerations related to the use or disposition of all gifts. The library assumes no responsibility for appraisal of gift items, nor can the library accept items under restricted conditions.
