We are delighted to welcome two incredibly talented colleagues to our faculty, Erica Goldberg and Kristina Campbell. With decades of experience in legal education, Erica and Kristina bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Gonzaga. In addition to Erica and Kristina, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Wale and Michael as tenure-stream faculty. Both Wale and Michael have already proven to be invaluable assets to our institution as Visiting Assistant Professors at Gonzaga during the current academic year.

After four years of teaching middle school math, Sasha Ducey wanted something different. Ready for a challenge but also wanting to serve others in the future, she decided to pursue her Master of Science in Taxation (MS.Tax). Her idea, to enhance her analytical skills while changing careers with the ultimate goal of serving in the non-profit world. It worked.

Theresa Whitlock ('19 M.A.) dedicated her life to improving the lives of those suffering from ALS and created Matt's Place Foundation, which creates accessible housing at an affordable cost.

Gonzaga Law is excited to announce the creation of its new Intellectual Property ("IP") Clinic, which will focus on both patent and trademark services. Through the IP Clinic, students will now have the opportunity to gain real-world IP skills while serving the community. The new clinic will complement Gonzaga Law's IP curriculum, which includes courses on Trademark, Copyright, and Patent, among others.

The new Children's Rights Justice Initiative by the Gonzaga School of Law will fill a large need for attorneys who are specifically trained to represent and advocate for children.

In March 2023, Gonzaga Law School dominated the Gender & Sexuality National Moot Court Competition with Meghan Conlin and Anne Mari Petrino winning all rounds. Additionally, Team Practical from Gonzaga participated in the 2023 Saul Lefkowitz Trademark Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C., showcasing exceptional skills and knowledge in trademark law.

Tucked between two classrooms on the third floor, the Luvera Chapel of St. Ignatius of Loyola can be considered the heartbeat of the Law School. The quiet and peaceful atmosphere of the chapel invites those weary and burdened with the various challenges faced by members of our community, particularly students facing the pressure of law school.
