Mission-Engaged Offerings

We offer one-time and short-term programs that are informational, inspirational, and build community. See our Events for current offerings.

Discussion on Mission

Discussion offerings vary in topic and duration with an emphasis on texts that address contemporary questions related to Gonzaga’s mission as a Catholic, Jesuit, humanistic university.

Socials

Opportunities for faculty and staff to gather outside of regular work and departmental patterns. Offered bimonthly in various campus locations.

Faculty Writing Retreat

In support of faculty as teacher-scholars, this four-day, three-night retreat is largely unstructured to prioritize time for writing, research, creative pursuits, reflection and rest. An opening and closing session as well as daily communal dinners provide rich opportunities for conversation and relationship-building. Offered annually during Spring Break.

Opportunities with Networks

As a Catholic, Jesuit university, Gonzaga is connected with several networks offering online resources, professional networks, and leadership development opportunities. The Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU), Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU), and Collegium are examples. The Vice President for Mission Integration is the main Gonzaga contact for these networks.

Workshops and Seminars

Several workshops are offered on a regular basis. Workshops on other topics are offered on an occasional basis and by invitation.
