Why are you in admissions at Gonzaga?
I feel privileged to help students learn more about Gonzaga. Working with prospective Zags is especially meaningful because they aspire to use their education not just to get good-paying jobs, but to become leaders who serve the common good. They are living examples of the highest possibilities that our Jesuit education aims to achieve.

Where is your favorite place on campus?
I love the University Chapel in College Hall because its beauty and intimacy is perfect for students to practice their faith both in community and solitude. Spirituality is at the heart of Jesuit education, and the chapel is an ideal sacred space for the Gonzaga community.

What is your favorite thing to do in Spokane?
I love live music, and I think Spokane has an under-rated music scene (especially if, like me, you’re partial to indie bands). I’ve seen Wilco, The Head and the Heart, Dawes, and The Antlers, to name just a few. There are a bunch of great local bands here, too. The Bartlett is my favorite music venue and has great shows coming to Spokane throughout the year.

What is one piece of advice you have for prospective students?
Do all that you can to meet and talk with actual Gonzaga students during your admission process. One of the best ways to determine whether or not GU will be right for you is discovering what the students here are like. If you visit our campus, you’ll have the chance to tour campus with a current student. We also offer overnight visits in our residence halls, which are a great way to get a snapshot of life as a Zag.
