Wagstaff Casting Simulator

For our senior design project we created an apparatus for Wagstaff which simulates their semi- continuous aluminum casting process.

This apparatus is designed to operate with varying water compositions and records temperature data from thermocouples into a data log for later analysis by Wagstaff engineers. All functions of the normal casting process are synthesized as closely as possible without reaching the melting temperature of aluminum.
