Department of Educational Leadership and Administration

Chairperson: Chuck Salina

Mission Statement:

The purpose of the degree program is to prepare reflective educational leaders who promote student, professional and organizational learning to address challenges and opportunities inherent in a changing world.

The Department of Educational Leadership and Administration bases its degree programs on the premise that the education profession must be composed of knowledgeable, skilled, and committed leaders who operate from a strong value base. At the master's level, leadership is defined as possessing the knowledge, abilities and commitment to facilitate improvement of educational settings.

This Department offers a doctoral program and four master's degree programs: the Doctor of Educational Leadership; the Master of Education in Educational Leadership (online, beginning Summer 2018), the Master of Arts in Leadership and Administration (US site-based), the Master of Education in Leadership and Administration (BC), and the Master of Education (School Administration) (Alberta).
