ERIC DATABASE INFORMATION

ERIC stands for Education Resources Information Center, and is the standard database used when searching for articles about education or educational materials.  ERIC houses full text articles from over 2200 digests and additional citations and abstracts from over 1000 journals.  ERIC provides information from journals collected in Current Index of Journals in Education and Resources in Education Index.  ERIC indexes items from 1966 to the present.

The ERIC database also has extensive subject heading links to help define your searches.  These are located in the Thesaurus link above the blank search fields.  You can also search and browse in 18 separate indexes, including ones sorted by Educational Level, Date Added, and Intended Audience.
