Biography Publications

Fr. Bryan V. Pham serves as Chaplain to the Gonzaga University School of Law and Senior Lecturer of Law, where he teaches Legal Methods and Jurisprudence. He also serves as Managing Attorney for Gonzaga Law School – Clinical Legal Programs and as Supervising Attorney for the General Public Practice & Indian Law Clinic.

A Jesuit priest of the USA West Province of the Society of Jesus, Fr. Pham was ordained in 2004. His academic work bridges theology, civil law, and canon law. He earned a B.A. and an M.A. in Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University; an S.T.B. from Regis College; an M.Div. from the University of Toronto; a J.C.L. from the Pontifical Gregorian University; a J.D. from Seattle University School of Law; a J.C.D. from Université Saint Paul; and a Ph.D. from the University of Ottawa.

Fr. Pham is admitted to practice law in Washington State and before multiple Native American tribal courts. He serves on Gonzaga University's Board of Trustees and Board of Members, is a judge for the Metropolitan Marriage Tribunal of the Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles, chairs the Jesuit Committee for Investment Responsibility, and oversees the USA West Province's socially responsible investment portfolio.

In addition to his academic and legal responsibilities, Fr. Pham serves as a chaplain in the U.S. Army Reserve with the rank of Captain. He is also chaplain to Gonzaga University's baseball team and the men's and women's basketball teams.
