Meet the Team: New Venture Lab Leadership

Meet our Program Directors!

Program Directors oversee the consulting engagements that run each semester. They manage multiple teams at once, support Project Managers, coordinate with our Advisors, and ensure every engagement meets program standards from Kickoff through final presentation.

Their core responsibilities are straightforward: keep quality gates, support the Project Managers who report to them, and catch problems early enough to fix them.

Theo, Sarah, and Adrien have all served in the program as both a consultant and a Project Manager. They were selected into the Director role through a competitive application and interview process.

Meet the Program Directors!

Theo Tcharos

Political Science and History major; Hogan Entrepreneurial Leadership minor

Working with New Venture Lab and the Hogan program has helped me grow immensely both professionally and personally. Through organizational skills, dynamic leadership, and the ability to communicate with a wide array of people, NVL has bolstered my confidence and capabilities in the professional field. The most rewarding parts of the program include seeing our clients implement our suggestions and watching improvements in real time. I also love watching our consultants grow more confident as they gain experience and become full-fledged leaders. I have gained incredible experience throughout this program and am honored to help lead it this upcoming year.

Adrien Amorim

Business Administration, Finance major; Sports Management minor

Since my sophomore year, New Venture Lab has been the staple of both my professional and personal development. Progressing from a consultant to Project Manager, I have had the unique opportunity to bridge the gap between academic work and real-world application, and by collaborating with a diverse range of organizations, I have gained firsthand experience in solving complex challenges and seeing student-led strategies produce tangible results for the small businesses in our Spokane community.

Sarah Prentice

Business Administration, Marketing and Business Analytics major; Sustainable Business minor

Starting out in New Venture Lab as a freshman, I didn't feel confident as a business student. Like many first years, I found moving away for college overwhelming. As freshmen, we were asked what we wanted to do with our lives before we even began to study it. With a career in business in mind, I decided to apply to New Venture Lab to get my foot in the door. Looking at my experience, I see significant change not just in my technical abilities but also in my confidence when presenting and in my overall communication skills. By experiencing real business challenges, students have learned and become more comfortable in situations they may not have encountered before. Businesses can enhance what they are already doing and evolve into spaces they may not have previously considered. I now get to lead others through this experience and support teams in their academic growth.
