Mutasem Alzoubaidi, Ph.D., P.E.

Dr. Mutasem Alzoubaidi has experience arising from his current academic position of at Al-Balqa Applied University in Jordan. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Wyoming, where his research focused on operational and safety performance of innovative transportation systems in connected vehicle environments. With industry and academic experience across the U.S. and Jordan, Dr. Alzoubaidi has served as a traffic project engineer at HNTB Corporation, a postdoctoral fellow at Georgia Tech, and a transportation planner in the Middle East. His expertise spans traffic modeling, simulation, intelligent transportation systems, and safety analysis. He has managed multimillion-dollar research projects, created new interchange designs, mentored students, and published extensively in top journals and conferences. Skilled in a variety of software/tools, he blends technical know-how with leadership in both academic and professional settings. Dr. Alzoubaidi is also an active reviewer and presenter in the global transportation engineering community.
