Integrated Media

We live in a media ecosystem that delivers information and entertainment in multiple forms across evolving platforms, from social media apps and podcasts to the websites of legacy print and TV media. Creating content has never been easier, but creating ethical media content with context requires specialized skills and philosophical grounding.

The Department of Integrated Media offers Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media Production, Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations, as well as minors in Broadcast Journalism, Journalism, Public Relations and Visual Literacy. Rooted in ethical storytelling and critical inquiry, the curriculum prepares students to lead in a rapidly evolving media landscape. With strong foundations in digital fluency, strategic communication and multimedia production, graduates are equipped to shape public discourse and drive innovation across industries including journalism, public relations, content creation and media production.

Students thrive in an environment that encourages them to hone their creative skills, from producing content for the TV station (Visit our GUTV YouTube Channel) to working as journalists for the student newspaper The Gonzaga Bulletin. Guided by the University’s Jesuit values, INMD students successfully pursue career opportunities at some of the top media and public relations companies in the country.
