Transform Your Master's Degree Through Immersive Experiences

What sets Gonzaga's Communication and Leadership (COML) and Organizational Leadership (ORGL) programs apart is the opportunity to deepen your education through optional immersive experiences that fit your life.

These aren't traditional classroom sessions, they are intensive, transformative encounters designed specifically for working adults.

Our immersions blend the flexibility you need with the powerful connections that accelerate your growth.

Whether joining us on Gonzaga's campus, exploring leadership resilience in mountain settings or investigating what community means at an abbey, you'll engage in experiential learning that transforms how you understand leadership and communication.

Why Students Choose Immersions: Many graduates identify these experiences as pivotal moments in their journey, where theory becomes practice, where classmates become lifelong colleagues and where your leadership identity crystallizes through real-world application and meaningful dialogue with faculty mentors.

Required Immersion

  • Every student will take the same immersion course, which is COML 599/ORGL 605
    • The courses have different numbers and names, but are the same class
  • Campus immersion: 3 days of intensive, in-person learning in Spokane or
  • Virtual immersion: 3 days of dynamic synchronous online sessions

Both formats include pre- and post-immersion online coursework, ensuring deep integration of experiential insights with academic rigor. Choose the option that works for your life while gaining the same transformative outcomes.
