I am an interdisciplinary scholar, which informs both my teaching and research. I earned my MS from The Ohio State University in Environmental Science with an emphasis on Public Health. I then received my PhD in Communication from George Mason University, where I also researched at the Center for Climate Change Communication (4C). My love is for teaching, and for sharing my passion for science communication with my students.

My research is interdisciplinary, and centers around issues of equity and inclusion. Environmental science is an extremely broad field of study, but my work specifically focuses on sustainability, climate solutions, and activism. I am also an educator at heart, and am therefore deeply interested in how we can better communicate science and engage students of all types through proper pedagogical research.
