Music Minor Curriculum (20 credits)
The newly revised Music Minor enables students to pursue diverse and flexible coursework in three categories, totaling 20 credits.
- Knowing Music (11 credits): academic courses enable students to pursue interests ranging from classical, jazz, and global music to music theory.
- Creating Music (4 credits): active courses enable students to take individual or group lessons on an instrument or voice, to explore music technology, to compose new music, and to deepen understanding of the voice.
- Performing Music (5 credits): ensemble courses develop students’ collaborative skills in a variety of creative genres.
