GU Wind Ensemble

The Wind Symphony, conducted by Dr. Robert Spittal, is the premiere ensemble for students who perform on woodwind, brass or percussion instruments.

The Wind Symphony studies and performs the finest traditional and contemporary wind band repertoire. The Wind Symphony frequently performs with guest soloists and conductors. In recent years, artists such as Eugene Corporon, Craig Kirchhoff, and the Clarion Brass Ensemble have performed in concert with the Wind Symphony.

Also, chamber ensembles such as Brass Choir, Chamber Winds, Saxophone Quartet and Percussion Ensemble are often created from within the group.

The ensemble is open to music majors and non-majors by auditions and held during the beginning of fall semester. Students interested in the Wind Sympony should contact Dr. Spittal.
