The Gonzaga Pep Band is an all-volunteer, non-credit ensemble of woodwinds, brass, percussion, and amplified bass that plays for most men’s and women’s home basketball games. Rehearsals are minimal and the focus of the band is to support and provide music for the basketball teams.
Gonzaga has been vaulted on the national scene based on the success of the men’s basketball team in the NCAA Tournaments since their incredible run to the Elite Eight in 1999. The Pep Band travels with the team to local tournaments as well as the NCAA Tournament each March.
Students interested in joining the Pep Band will need to audition during the first week of classes each Fall. Information about these auditions as well as auditions for other groups in the music department will be posted in the main music building.
