Sophia University, a prestigious Jesuit institution in Tokyo, participates in a yearly exchange program with Gonzaga. The program permits two GU students to enroll at Sophia for either one semester or a full academic year. A wide range of courses are taught in English, but students must complete at least one year of college- level Japanese in order to be accepted. Students live in university dormitories, experiencing daily opportunities to practice their Japanese language skills.
