  • Rehearses MWF 4:10-5:10 pm and TR 4:40-5:40pm
  • Annual tours in Seattle, Portland
  • Annual Choir Retreat at St. Gertrude’s Monastery
  • The Gonzaga University Concert Choir consists of 62-68 undergraduate students drawn from diverse disciplines and is part of the university’s comprehensive program of four choral ensembles. Rooted in the Jesuit, Catholic, and humanistic traditions, students explore a wide variety of repertoire, including sacred and secular and spanning medieval to newly composed works. In 2016, it was selected to perform Arvo Pärt’s Berliner Messe with professional orchestra for the Northwest conference of the American Choral Directors Association. In 2018, the Concert Choir performs at the Washington Music Educators Association state conference.

    Recent major repertoire includes:

    • J. S. Bach: St. John Passion and Magnificat
    • Johannes Brahms: Liebeslieder Waltzes and Neue Liebselieder Waltzes
    • Benjamin Britten: Rejoice in the Lamb and Te Deum
    • Maurice Duruflé: Requiem
    • G. F. Handel: Messiah
    • Joseph Haydn: Missa In tempore belli
    • Tõnu Kõrvits: Kreek’s Notebook
    • Morten Lauridsen: Lux aeterna and Mid-Winter Songs
    • Arvo Pärt: Berliner Messe
    • W. A. Mozart: Requiem, Solemn Vespers of the Confessor, and Mass in C minor
    • Michael Tippett: A Child of Our Time
    • James Whitbourn: Luminosity
