More about Joey

Future Plans:
I'll be starting in a lab at the NIH in January for a year and a half, after which I plan on going on to earning an MD and/or a PhD in the biomedical sciences.

How has your major contributed to your professional or personal development?
I came in to college with an interest in biology. The biology faculty saw this curiosity and enabled me to explore it by guiding me through mentored research projects which helped me to identify my passion for research and problem solving centered around genetics and cell biology especially.

What has been your proudest or most significant accomplishment during your Gonzaga career?
I'm most proud of the friendships I've been able to build with my fellow classmates and with my professors. I'll remember these wonderful people far longer than I'll remember any successful research experiment or aced test.
