The Boise Chapter has a simple mission: grow the Zag spirit and community in Boise through leadership, faith, and service. We are passionate about Gonzaga and the community it represents and we hope to make that community a part of all of the events the chapter puts on.

The Boise Chapter engages Zags and friends of the Zags alike in our greater region. We do this in a variety of ways including:

  • Giving back to our community in the form of service in an annual event packing food at the Idaho Community Food Bank.
  • Supporting the future of our Community and Gonzaga students in the form of events that raise money for scholarships in our annual Boise Chapter Bike Ride to Benefit the Boise Chapter Regional Scholarship.
  • Engaging Zags and friends of Zags in local events promoting our faith, networking and continued learning. Of course, our favorite time of year is Basketball season when Zags from all over our region gather to watch and cheer on our team in our local game watches.

Everyone is welcome to participate in the Boise Chapter. Our Chapter leadership is excited to meet more of the Boise Zags and look forward to growing and shaping our chapter with you!

Gonzaga presence in Boise includes more than basketball - Idaho Catholic Register
If you’re a Gonzaga basketball fan living in the Treasure Valley, the third-best news you could hear is that your team is going to be playing in Boise.

Boise Statistics

  • 1,057 Alumna/us

Boise Zags are smart in the classroom too! Over 1,000 Gonzaga degreed Alumni call Boise home! The largest percentage of students received degrees from the College of Arts and Sciences followed closely by the Schools of Business, Professional Studies, Law and Engineering.

Besides being a great place to live, Boise is also a great place for Zags to work! The top Boise employers for Gonzaga graduates include:

  • Hewlett-Packard Company
  • Micron Technology Inc.
  • Boise School District
  • POWER Engineers, Inc.
  • Idaho Power Co.

Boise Zags are eager to help current and future students, or anyone interested in learning more about living and working in Boise through our Gonzaga Alumni Mentor Program (GAMP). The goal of GAMP is to establish a relationship between a mentee and mentor that facilitates informed career decision-making and the development of a network that results in increased career opportunities. In Boise, there are currently 101 GAMP mentees and 72 GAMP Mentors!

As you can see, Boise is a great place to be a Zag and a Gem in Zag Nation! We wish our team a great success there and know you and all the visitors to this first round in the tournament will receive a warm and receptive welcome from our Boise Chapter!
