B.F.A. in printmaking from the Art Academy of Cincinnati in 1989. M.F.A. in printmaking from the University of Cincinnati in 1995. Has taught drawing and printmaking at Gonzaga since 1995. Farrell received the Scholar of the Year award from the University(2001), Artist Trust Fellowship in Washington state(2000), Artist Trust Gap Grant in Washington state(2000, 1997). Her work is in many private and public collections including the Portland Art Museum, The City of Seattle Art Collection, The Jundt Art Museum in Spokane WA, and the China National Academy of Fine Arts, Hangzhou, China.

Bachelor's and Master of Arts degrees from Fort Hays Kansas State University in Hays, Kansas. A Master of Art degree and the terminal MFA degree in the Fine Arts received from The University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa in 1983. Studio emphasis was in ceramics and drawing with a concentration in art history. Gieber maintains a studio in Spokane and has five commercial art galleries featuring his work in Omaha, NE; Kansas City, MO; Coeur d' Alene, ID; and two sites in Oregon. Studio work has been presented in more than 100 exhibitions throughout the United States since coming to Gonzaga in 1983. Corporate collections include H&R Block, Aquila Energy Corporation, Firestone, Blue Cross-Blue Shield, Utilicorp United, West One Bank, IFTC, American Investors Financial, and several others.
