My WC Online is the Writing Center's new scheduling and data collection software. An industry standard in the world of University Writing Centers, My WC Online allows students to quickly and conveniently schedule appointments with the Writing Center.
To access My WC Online, visit the link in the navigation bar to the left and register an account. Registration should ideally be done using a student's zagmail username and password.
Once students have registered and logged in, they will arrive at the homepage and see the weekly schedule. On the right-hand side are the dates and days of the week and below these dates will be a list of tutors. If there are white boxes next to the tutors' names, that means that they are available for an appointment at that time. Black boxes indicate that a tutor is not working during that time, and gray boxes indicate that a student has already reserved that time for a tutoring section. To schedule an appointment, click on a white box. A window will pop up. Fill in the required fields and hit submit, and the appointment will be saved.
It is important to note that even if students drop-in without scheduling an appointment, they will still have to create an account and fill in the require information. The Writing Center uses this software to collect data about who is taking advantage of our services and how many people are coming in. This information is crucial in setting the Center's annual budget. If a student experiences any problems with My WC Online while in the Writing Center, one of the friendly staff tutors will be more than happy to walk them through the process.
