Supported by an Educating Character Initiative (ECI) grant, Pietas advances Gonzaga University's mission by strengthening character formation across academics and campus life.
Gonzaga University is strengthening its commitment to character education through Pietas: Building Jesuit Education, a collaborative initiative across Academic Affairs and Student Affairs. The project seeks to deepen the integration of Jesuit values and character formation throughout the Gonzaga experience.
Through faculty and staff development, curricular innovation, student programming and community engagement, Pietas aims to foster a campus culture where the pursuit of virtuous character is central to:
- Learning
- Leadership
- Accompaniment.
The project supports meaningful opportunities for reflection, growth and collaboration while helping prepare students to live lives of purpose and service.
By bringing together faculty, staff, students and administrators, Pietas seeks to strengthen Gonzaga's mission and further cultivate the qualities that define the Jesuit educational tradition.
