How has your major contributed to your professional or personal development?
Biology has shaped me into an immensely curious person who is eager to understand the world’s mysteries. Understanding processes at the molecular level has created nuance in my perception of global issues and my inquisitiveness and analytical eye will follow into the next steps of my career.
What has been your proudest or most significant accomplishment during your Gonzaga career?
My proudest accomplishment at Gonzaga has been writing my honors thesis on health equity and research ethics in biomedical sciences. Writing my thesis, I have considered the responsibility a researcher carries into the laboratory setting as a powerful ethical actor with potential to have a significant impact on their world.
