Entrepreneurship & Innovation

Students at the University can earn a Concentration in Entrepreneurship & Innovation where they will learn skills related to the entrepreneurial mindset. From idea generation, and opportunity seeking behavior, the program takes students through the entrepreneurial process and prepares them for a variety of careers: creating a new enterprise, buying or growing an existing enterprise, franchising, family business, and corporate or social entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurship & Innovation Concentration: Twelve credits

BENT 490 Creativity, Innovation & Entrepreneurship (three credits)

BENT 491 Creating New Ventures (three credits)

BENT 493 Social Entrepreneurship (three credits)

Three credits from the following courses:
ACCT 367 Financial Reporting (three credits)
BFIN 322 Intermediate Finance (three credits)
BMIS 443 Electronic Commerce Strategy & Application (three credits)
BUSN 492 Business Planning (three credits)
MKTG 330 Market Research (three credits)
MKTG 418 Personal Selling (three credits)

In addition, one of the following courses must be used to count toward the six credit IIE requirement:
