CLEP & Proficiency Exams

The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) allows you to test out of subjects by demonstrating proficiency on CLEP exams. Students study independently, and then schedule their exam either through Gonzaga or through another testing center.  If you do not pass a CLEP exam, you must wait 6 months to re-take it.

TIMES:
Monday - Friday
7:30 - 9:00 am.  1 session.

Saturday
9:00 - 11:00 am.  2 sessions.

Please call to schedule an appointment no later than 48 hours prior to testing. These testing slots are not guaranteed and are only available by appointment.

FEES:  (Effective July 1, 2010)
All fees are due to the testing center administrator on the day of the exam before the test is administered.  The testing center accepts Visa, Mastercard, check, or cash (Exact change only).

CLEP EXAMS: $122: $77 CLEP/ $45 GU (Exam fee is payable by debit or credit card only).
Proficiency Exams: $100 payable to Gonzaga University.
*Pre-requisite exam for Operations Management (for Gonzaga Students only) = $100
*Pre-requisite exam for Health-care Management (for Gonzaga Students only) = $100

PROCTORING EXAMS:
The fee for proctored exams depends upon the length of the exam and is payable to Gonzaga University.
Up to 1 hour:     $35
1-2 Hours:         $50
Up to 3 Hours:  $60

NOTE:
If you will be paying with CASH, the exact amount must be rendered upon completion of the test.  Change is not available.

CLEP and MAT testing candidates who do not have a registered parking permit are restricted to parking along Sharpe Avenue and Astor or in marked Visitor Parking slots.  Please use this link to orientate to your surroundings when selecting a parking spot.  On this form, the green JC is the Jepson Center.
