The following chart summarizes data for admissions, program retention, and degree completion for the Gonzaga Philosophy M.A. program. Due to changes in the structure, administration, and financial aid offerings of the program, statistics since 2004 give the best picture of program retention and degree completion rates.
The program is designed for completion in 2 years, including summers, though students often opt to take longer. University rules specify that students must complete the degree within a 5-year period after admission, though it is possible to request and receive a 1-year extension of this limit.
Students who do not complete the degree leave the program for a variety of reasons, the most typical of which are personal, health-related, professional, and academic.
