Dr. Salena Beaumont Hill (she/her), is a member of the Apsáalooke (Crow) Nation and a descendent of of the Amaskapi Pikuni (Blackfeet) Nation. Dr. Hill earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision from the University of Montana (UM) in 2020. Salena has spent her career working in student support services at UM and Little Big Horn College leading programs serving underrepresented students. Her work in college access and student advocacy has been very rewarding. She recently served as the Director of Inclusive Excellence at UM where she developed the office of Inclusive Excellence for Student Success which supported UM’s Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) and LGBTQ+ students. While at UM, Dr. Hill also assisted with justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts across campus.
