Dr. Zavala’s research interests include the effects of place on consumer experience, consumer-object relationships, retail design, social media, and sociocultural aspects of consumer behavior. She has presented her work at various conferences, including the Consumer Culture Theory Conference and the Association for Consumer Research North American Conference. She has also participated in the Transformative Consumer Research Conference. Her research can also be found in the Journal of Business Research.
