Dan Stewart is a Professor of Entrepreneurship. He received his Ph.D. (Organizational Behavior) and M.A. (Sociology) from Stanford University. His research appears in leading social science journals such as American Sociological Review, Organization Science, Research in the Sociology of Organizations, and American Indian Culture and Research Journal. He has co-edited two of the leading volumes in Native American business and economics, Creating Private Sector Economies in Native America (Cambridge University Press) and American Indian Business (UW Press). Dan also serves as Director of the Indigenous Student Seminar for the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.
In addition to his academic work, Dan is a small business owner (www.dardaninc.com) and has served on the boards of various commercial and non-profit organizations. In his spare time, he enjoys playing old-time fiddle music and spending time with his friends and family.
