Forged and Formed at Gonzaga

The Maws
Glorilyn ('90) and Scott ('90) Maw

March 22, 2021

It's well known that a Gonzaga University experience goes beyond career preparation; it's a hallmark of the Catholic, Jesuit, and humanistic education students find here and the inspiration for Scott ('90) and Glorilyn ('90) Maw's generous support.

We both believe that a significant portion of who we are and the “direction” of our lives was forged during our time at Gonzaga. Obviously, the education that we received as an engineer and accountant was top notch as our professors and fellow students were simply outstanding. Importantly, this education went well beyond the technical nature of our degrees to include the critical thinking skills involved in a wholistic, Jesuit liberal arts education.

Beyond this, we also believe that the nature of the Gonzaga education and the spirit and culture of the community continues to have a major impact on our growth as individuals and as a couple. All of this combines to make the Gonzaga experience a major differentiator for Gonzaga Alumni, the Spokane community and the world at large.
