AASHE Centers for Sustainability Across the Curriculum
The Cataldo Project is recognized by AASHE as a National Center for Sustainability Across the Curriculum.
Gonzaga faculty participants will receive an honorarium of $500 upon completion of the workshop and the revision of a syllabus or course assignment.

The workshop will explore how we can meaningfully integrate sustainability -broadly defined- into our classrooms. Though we start by taking a close look at Gonzaga and the larger Inland Northwest, we invite participants to engage in local/global comparisons. Faculty colleagues and community experts will facilitate and catalyze discussion of a green curriculum and its integration and role in the broader community.
This asynchronous canvas course offers various approaches for incorporating climate education into your classroom. This experience is a result of a collaboration between OSPI, EarthGen, Gonzaga Climate Institute, Institute for Systems Biology, and Pacific Education Institute.
Teachers who complete the course will receive 6 STEM clock hours. Topics include:
Registration for this course is open now and the course will begin on October 15th and remain open through the 2025 - 2026 school year.
Unfortunately, due to the cuts to the Washington State budget and the elimination of the ClimeTime project, the Climate Institute will not be offering in-person professional learning workshops for the foreseeable future.
