COMM 184 Communication, Culture and Society This course examines the philosophical, economic, and technological forces that shape communication innovations and practices. Subjects covered include the news industry, advertising, and propaganda.
COMM 234 Nonverbal Communication This course examines the role of nonverbal communication in various social contexts. Current research, discussion and exercises are used to understand the importance of nonverbal cues for human interaction.
COMM 244 Interpersonal and Small Group Communication This course focuses on the centrality of communication for interpersonal relationships and group dynamics. Topics studied include family communication, communication in friendships, perception and identity.
COMM 254 Popular Culture This course examines various aspects of popular culture, including advertisements, clothing, and relevant texts from the media. It explores the development of cultural studies and engages students in the analysis of popular culture.
COMM 264 History of Rhetoric This course covers the history and development of rhetoric, considering the systematization of the persuasive argument from the classical era to the present.

COMM 321 Advanced Public Speaking This course presents conceptual elements and practical exercises focused on various forms of public address. The students are required to present several speeches.

COMM 364 Persuasion This courses focuses on the various applications of persuasion in everyday life, including an analysis of different kinds of persuasive texts. It trains students to understand effective persuasive techniques.

COMM 484 Senior Seminar In this capstone course, students prepare and present a project that demonstrates their proficiency as creative, knowledgeable, and effective communicators.
