Graduate and Research Assistantship
There are a limited number of Graduate and Research Assistantship positions available. Students interested in these positions must apply and be invited to interview. Due to the limited number, positions tend to be highly competitive. For more information about Assistantships, please contact Connie Caddis at (509) 313-3684.
COML 520 Graduate Internship
The internship in MA-COML is designed to aid students in their real world application of theoretical knowledge gleaned in the classroom. Students who elect to pursue internships have already been graded and trained in the theory in classroom settings and with academic assignments. The internship opportunity moves outside the classroom and into a different realm of learning and evaluation. For more information about internships, please contact your faculty advisor.
Interested in an International Internship this Summer?
Open to both current students in the program as well as students who are non-matriculated, graduating seniors or working professionals. Details of these internship opportunities and sites can be found at www.ieiMedia.com. Each intern will specialize in one of the following areas: web or magazine design, writing, photography or video. He or she will be assigned to one of our instructors and will be responsible for an in-depth assignment in the area of their specialization. The location supervisor will asses the quality of your internship work. In addition they will work with undergrads in helping them with technology and guiding them in the development of content. Like all internships, your internship supervisor (COML 520) will be a regular Gonzaga faculty member and you will be guided by a site supervisor on location. If student numbers warrant, there may be a site visit by Gonzaga faculty.
The Internship Program fee for this one month program is $3,995.00 plus Gonzaga tuition and air fare. Currently graduate tuition is $840 per credit. If you are interested, please contact Prof. John Caputo.
