Julie Winter has taught German language, literature and culture for many years, and is thrilled to be teaching German at Gonzaga. She has also taught ESL, translation, world literature, academic writing, and linguistics, including a recent course at Gonzaga, the History of the English Language. She holds a Master's degree in German and one in English Linguistics and a Ph.D. in German. She is the translator of three volumes of memoirs from the German Resistance against Hitler, and she recently had several poem translations from English into German published.
