First Lego League

"The best way to summarize FIRST LEGO League is to say that it is a robotics program for 9 to 16 year olds (9 to 14 in US/CAN/MEX), which is designed to get children excited about science and technology -- and teach them valuable employment and life skills."

Spokane Math Circle

"Math Circles are a form of extracurricular enrichment and outreach that bring mathematicians into direct contact with pre-college students.  These students, and sometimes their teachers, meet with mathematical professors in an informal setting, after school or on weekends, to work on interesting problems or topics in mathematics.  The goal is to get the students excited about the mathematics, giving them a setting that encourages them to become passionate about mathematics."
