Gonzaga to Partner with Dale Carnegie Training to Offer Professional Communication Courses
Gonzaga University has announced a new partnership with Dale Carnegie Training of Washington and Idaho to offer professional communication courses through the University’s Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL), in collaboration with its College of Arts and Sciences (CAS).
The partnership launches with two offerings: Effective Communications & Human Relations and High Impact Presentations, both designed for working professionals seeking to strengthen leadership presence, communication skills, and confidence.
“This partnership allows Gonzaga to combine academic excellence with proven, real-world training,” said Rachelle Strawther, director of Gonzaga’s Center for Lifelong Learning. “By working with Dale Carnegie and the College of Arts and Sciences, we’re expanding access to high-impact learning that supports professionals at every stage of their careers.”
A Collaborative Approach
This collaboration brings together nationally recognized leadership training, academic expertise, and operational support to deliver programs with real-world impact. By aligning complementary strengths, the partnership ensures learning that is practical, credible, and academically sound.
Dale Carnegie Training contributes its globally recognized leadership brand and experiential learning methodology, equipping participants with tools they can immediately apply in the workplace. Gonzaga’s College of Arts and Sciences provides academic oversight and faculty expertise in communication, while the Center for Lifelong Learning oversees the partnership and delivers the academic and operational infrastructure that supports Gonzaga-issued credentials and continuing education credit.
“We are very excited to launch this collaboration. It reflects our commitment to the importance of applied learning rooted in strong academic foundations,” said Jacqueline Van Hoomissen, dean of Gonzaga’s College of Arts and Sciences. “These courses extend Gonzaga’s mission beyond the traditional classroom and into the community.”
