Dr. Yousi Zheng visited the Gonzaga campus as part of the Renouard Lecture series on Feb. 15, 2019.  As a Senior Software Engineer for Oracle, his work focuses on Responsys system, a business, sales and marketing database system. He designs and develops features, functionalities and performance enhancements for Oracle's Marketing Cloud. Cloud computing systems formed the topic of his Ph.D. research in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Ohio State University, and holds an ME and BE in Electronics Engineering from Tsinghua University.

Dr. Zheng's talk included a sample of the complex problems involved in processing a high volume of transactions in a cloud system, and orchestrating different projects and varying responsibilities as a software engineer.
