Gonzaga Law’s Seattle and Portland Treks Kick off a Busy Fall OCI Season

August 28, 2017

On August 17 and 18, 2017, Gonzaga 2Ls and 3Ls traveled to Seattle and Portland to interview with one—or more—of 17 employers seeking summer associates, interns, and associate attorneys. The Center for Professional Development organized the treks, Portland on the 17th and Seattle on the 18th, and were on hand at the Seattle Public Library to give encouragement, provide lint rollers, and ensure that all the interviews went smoothly.

The employers that took part in the treks varied from firms such as Perkins Coie, Lane Powell, Tonkon Torp, Montgomery Purdue, Patterson Buchanan, Halverson Northwest, Phillips Burgess and more to industry-leader DocuSign. Government and non-profit agencies were also on hand including the King County and Pierce County Prosecutor’s Offices, Seattle City Attorney’s Office and the Washington State Bar Association.

The treks mark the beginning of the 2017 Fall OCI season that will usher over 25 additional employers to campus and into the halls of Gonzaga Law to interview students for internships and post-graduate positions.
