I have an undergraduate degree in Hospitality Business Management from Washington State University and a Masters in Business Administration and Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University.  Prior to academics, I worked in the hospitality industry for 30 years, with 25 in management. This career spanned both the commercial and non-commercial segments. I have lectured at Washington State University’s College of Business, Gonzaga University’s Jepson School of Business Administration and the School of Professional Studies.  Presently, I am the Director of Student Services for Gonzaga’s Virtual Campus. I have done development work for a Spokane, Washington non-profit group, and conducted workshops for the Small Business Development Center. In 2007, I spent a semester as a visiting lecturer at University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.  I reside in Liberty Lake, WA with my wife, Chan, and son, John.
