Mission of Organizational Leadership
In response to society's growing need for value-based, visionary leadership, Gonzaga's Organizational Leadership program was established in 1986.
Offering both a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership and a Certificate in Servant Leadership, the Department of Organizational Leadership seeks to create a community of learning through stimulating discussions, provocative readings, and challenging projects, all integrated by experienced teachers and delivered through the best of educational technology to students throughout the world. With the aid of advanced technology, the master degree is available both on-campus and on-line.
Since it was founded in 1887, Gonzaga University has been committed to developing excellent leaders. One of 28 Jesuit colleges and universities in the United States, Gonzaga is currently ranked 3rd in Universities-Master's (West) by U.S. News and World Report (2008 Annual Report). Just as Gonzaga University stands upon a 450 year tradition of Jesuit, Catholic and humanistic education, Gonzaga's Department of Organizational Leadership proceeds from this tradition to both challenge and nurture those who would be leaders, or who would be better leaders.
